Walking is the easiest and most convenient thing you can do. During the summer months, try walking the aisle at a big box store or your local mall. If you walk up and down every aisle at Costco it is a 2 mile walk. You may even be able to get your grocery shopping done at the same time.
If walking does not interest you, buy a pair of dumbbells and do some basic weight training at home. There are numerous YouTube videos on workouts you can do for a a variety of experience levels.
Looking for something to get you out of the house? Don’t let a local gym intimidate you. Most people there are just like you. Go between 9-2 when most people are at work and you will be able to pick and choose which machines/exercises to do with a much smaller crowd.
